Welcome to the website of the Association of Local Authorities in Lithuania (ALAL). ALAL is a non-profit, non-Governmental organization, representing the common interests of its members – local authorities in all national institutions, as well as in international organizations of local authorities.

Mission Of ALAL 

To implement the essential rights of local self-government and to foster its development, by influencing decisions taken by national authorities and international institutions.

Objectives 

The Association seeks to implement the provisions of the European Charter of Local Self-Government in Lithuania, to organize and coordinate activities of its members in the areas of investment attraction, development of municipal economies, improvement of legislature, business support, public security, culture, education, science, health care, social care and protection, improvement of local services, as well as relations with international organizations and municipalities abroad.

ALAL Brussels representation  

ALAL has opened its Brussels Representation in April 2007.
